i have a manager who is really uselesss....everybody knows that and he is still here earning managerial pay and doing nothing...

cant stand him to the core...waiting for him to HURRY up leave!!!

he irritates the hell out of me.

really make my blood boil...USELESS person to the power of inifinity.

reasons why he makes me so annoyed EVERYDAY:

1) he has this very irritating look with decayed teeth coupled with old-fashioned big ROUND gold rimmed glasses of which half of the gold coating has already worned off...

2) you cant tell the original colour of his clothes coz they are all washed like a million times and now is in different greyish shades of white

3) he takes the office newspaper and goes to the common toilet to shit and read the newspaper at the same time, after which nobody dares to touch the paper...except for our poor alumni who doesnt know anything...

4) he shits in the toilet located in the staff lounge WHILE we are all eating our lunch there.

5) being one of the more senior staff here (in terms of number of years working in my office), he keeps asking me qns on how it was done before ..then he replicates everything that was done in the past based on the old files...no new initiative at all.....i might as well call a temp staff to do that for me...need him for what.

6) he copies what i have done for reports, speeches and then edit abit and re-submit as his own.

7) sitting in the cubicle next to him, i seldom hear typing of the keyboard, no sound of working except for the occasional phone calls and constant clicking of his mouse...what is he doing??? watching tv online??? surfing the net for this own pleasure?

8) he supposed to come in with a wealth of experience being 40 years old already and working for many years but he knows nothing, like even doing simple carpark labels, asking me qns like "you know hotels right, a twin-sharing room is one bed or two beds har?", doesnt know how to set out-of-office assistant in outlook, admist many others.

9) he is very greedy in terms of freebies and food, he goes to the nus career fair and start taking alot of freebies and in many cases, goes behind the counter and takes more for himself without asking the staff there for permission.

with regards to food, knowing that we have a staff lunch that day, he doesnt eat breakfast that morning or dinner the night before just to save his stomach for eating more food from the free lunch, then goes MANY times to the buffet counter to replenish his food.

10) he slurps his noodles, drinks and soups making so much noise like nobody's business at a lunch MEETING.

11) he has no balls, no sense of responsibility, cant make decisions, everything is Prof says this Prof says that, "not I decide one", or "go ask Valerie" and everything needs clearance from the top if not he cant proceed, cant do anything even if its just simple tasks like approving quotations.

12) he asks a woman to go upstairs to carry down for him a colour printer claiming that he is very busy

13) he gives a very reluctant look and says he is very busy when a pregnant woman like me asks him for help like moving furniture or sending heavy paintings to buyer's homes

14) he shouts "time for a break!" very loudly at four in the afternoon making sure the whole office noes he is at the pantry eating his curry puffs

15) for very important events like homecoming, all he is concerned about is what to wear for rehearsals "can wear bermudas anot ar?? lets all wear bermudas la...ok ok set ar??" and he irritates us with these qns while we are all busying preparing the other more important stuff for the event

16) all his polo t-shirts that he wears on casual fridays are all free shirts with labels on them like starhub, panasonic, nus, big walk etc.

17) likes to give loud sighs like he is so stressed when nothing much has been assigned for him to do

18) comes to me for advice whilst irritatingly calls me "val ar val, based on yr past experience..." like as if everything is his first time doing things

19) i learnt nothing from him since his first day here...and i bet he learnt ALOT from me.

20) pops his white-haired head out of the curtain backstage during important events thinking that nobody notices him but everybody in the audience could see him

21) ask him to do something, he never does it and i have to remind him time and again until i have no choice but to get someone else to do it

22) when someone takes over him as the head of the section, instead of feeling insulted, he is so happy coz now he doesnt need to make decisions or approve leave

23) i dont know why i am so busy, running up and down sometimes, but he just sits at his desk...doing nothing...doesnt he need to fax? doesnt he need to see the boss? doesnt he need to search for things in the document room? doesnt he need to go to the lobby to meet vendors? students?? alumni???

NOooooooooooooo....he only needs to go out for lunch, teabreaks and his usual shitting escapades in the toilet

24) he blasts his canto pop music out loud thinking that everybody has the same taste as him

25) he airs his running shorts and shirts in the empty cubicle next door and never washes them, just taking them out to use for his next running session

and the list goes on...:(

how not to be upset by such a person like him everyday?

my boss also knows that he cant do anything, but he is not firing him yet, just taking everything from him such that he only assists but not the driver of events...and now just waiting for him to leave.....dropping hints while embarrassing him during meetings...

either my useless manager:

1) takes the hint and leave
2) takes the hint and buck up
3) doesnt care and continue earning managerial pay whilst doing nothing

i hope he leaves...waste of manpower, space, air, facilities to accommodate a person like him.

even my boss comes to me and ask...how ar?? what to do with him?? what u think he shld do or can do?? and my deputy director comes to me for information instead of going to him coz he knows nothing...
