Finally saw two distinct clear lines in my pregancy kit ...positive :)

Went to see the gynae yesterday, doctor say about 5 weeks into pregancy. That explains and answers alot...the moodyness, the bloatedness, the hungryness, the putting on of weight, the painfulness of the bosom, the long missed period...the anxiety of knowing whether or not...



According to books and websites, pregnancy tests look for a special hormone in the urine or blood that is only there when a woman is pregnant. This hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), can also be called the pregnancy hormone.

The pregnancy hormone, hCG, is made in your body when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus. This usually happens about 6 days after conception. But studies show that the embryo doesn't implant until later in some women. The amount of hCG increases drastically with each passing day you are pregnant.

Many home pregnancy tests claim they can tell if you're pregnant on the day you expect your period. But a recent study shows that most don't give accurate results this early in pregnancy. Waiting one week after a missed period will usually give a more accurate answer. Usually when the test is positive, you are about 4 weeks into the pregnancy where the amount of hCG is high enough for the test to detect.

Christmas is coming too...which explains the baby in santa's clothes pictures..cute ya?

Next exciting thing is to know whether baby is a guy or girl...hehehe...

Pray for me and baby okie? That we both will be healthy..that mummy be happy and not stressed out at work and that mummy will eat well and sleep well and take good care of herself!

Dear Lord, Almighty Father, thank you for your wonderful gift of life to Paul and I. We pray that you will help us use this time of pregancy to prepare ourselves to be good parents. Grant us wisdom and guide us in our daily walk with you. We thank you for the people around us that are praying and helping us during this crucial period and we pray that you will keep us all safe in your mighty hands. We commit ourselves to you.
